Ella Mei's Trip to the Windy City

Our spring trip was spent in Chicago, visiting and spending time with Ella's second cousins and Aunties and Uncles.  She was such a trooper and enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with the neighbors on the plane.  All in all we had good food and good times.

Slept through the night and woke up at 8 am, happy and smiling!

Happy 8 Months, Ella Mei!

Ella Mei celebrated her first Christmas with her families, both in LA and SD.  We were blessed to be able to spend it with all of our loved ones.  

Ella is now sitting on her own (still somewhat unsteadily), scooting backwards on her stomach, and enjoying feeding herself with finger foods (puffs).  Here's some other things she is doing:

- stranger anxiety
- wants to be around mom all the time
- drinking water straight from the cup
- laughing
- saying "daddy" and looking straight into her dad's eyes
- grabbing many items
- moving around and turning around different directions
- shaking her head "no"
- solid poops

Happy 7 Months, Ella Mei!

Boy, is she growing fast!  Here are some of the things she loves to do:

- roll over both ways
- talk a LOT ("dadada" "yayaya" "hoohoo")
- squeal
- stare
- bite her Sophie giraffe
- drool
- jump in her chair
- eat fruits and veggies
- smile and laugh
- read books and turn the pages
